It was controlled chaos at the Collier County Fairgrounds on Thursday afternoon. Frantic workers raced around doing last-minute work before the fair opens today at 5:30 p.m. The fair will run from Feb. 2-11. Today the 40-acre fairgrounds will once again be filled with carnival rides, petting zoos and other fair-related activities.
